Originally been an ancient well in front of Xinghua Temple at the eastern side of Yunlong mountain, this well was frist built in the late Ming Dynasty.
The ancient well is a stone built well, which is cylindrical, with an outer diameter of about 3.2m, an inner diameter of about 1.9m, and a depth of about 9m from the surface. The structure of the well body can be divided into two sections, i.e. the upper section and the lower section of the well body. The upper section of the well body: from the surface to 5.3-6m below the surface, is staggered stacking of stones; The lower section of the well body: the manually stacked well ring to the bottom of the well, is to manually dig a cylindrical well ring vertically and downward on the rock body, and the surface of the well ring remains clear manual chisel marks.
During the implementation of Yundong Cultural District project in 2021, the ancient well was relocated to the West for about 50m, surrouded with stone railings, to make it as part of the public square in front of the temple.
